WorldDenver

About

WorldDenver was founded in 2012 to educate our community on global issues and to engage Coloradans as citizen diplomats. WorldDenver serves as the official State Department host for international delegations visiting Denver under the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and similar federally-supported public diplomacy initiatives. Through these programs, nearly 550 international visitors are hosted by WorldDenver annually. WorldDenver also houses the Denver World Affairs Council (DWAC), serving greater Denver as the officially recognized member of the World Affairs Councils of America, a citizen education initiative that has more than 80 members nationwide. Approximately 40-340 people attend each event, of which there are 15-20 each year.

The mission of WorldDenver is to build a diverse network of Coloradans who engage with the world through our programs. This engagement takes the form of interchange with speakers and doers who are at the forefront of global events as well as direct interaction with international visitors, students, and educators who themselves come to Colorado to learn and teach.
